Before You Book
Downtime, Aftercare & Risks
All treatments carry some risk. Dr Hana will explain what is right for you, and you will be given written aftercare after your treatment.
01 · Downtime
What Is Normal?
- Most people go back to work the same day.
- Small raised bumps at the injection points are normal and usually settle within 24 to 48 hours.
- Some redness, tenderness and bruising can happen.
02 · Aftercare
What Should I Avoid?
- Please do not massage or press the bumps.
- Leave make-up off for about 12 hours.
- Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, hot baths and alcohol for about 24 hours.
- Your second session is booked as part of your plan.
03 · Risks
Side Effects & Risks
- Common: small bumps at the injection points, redness, swelling, tenderness and bruising.
- Less common: infection, an allergic reaction or lumps under the skin.

Do I Need a Consultation Before Treatment?
It is important to meet during a face to face consultation (first one is FREE), to discuss your requirements, your expectations, your medical and cosmetic history and to examine the treatment area before treatment can be advised. Dr Hana does not offer phone or email consultations.
Is There a Deposit?
To secure an appointment a £50 deposit is required. In the event of a check up or consultation, this will be refunded to you at the appointment or be deducted from your treatment charge. The deposit will not be refunded if the appointment is missed or cancelled without giving 24 hours notice.
Is There Any Downtime After Profhilo?

Does Profhilo Hurt?
Most people feel a pinching or stinging sensation during the injections. Dr Hana will talk you through what to expect and how to keep you comfortable at your consultation.
Who Is Profhilo Not Suitable For?
Treatment is not suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you have an infection or a cold sore in the area to be treated, or if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. Dr Hana will go through your medical history at your consultation and will only treat you if it is right for you. We do not treat anyone under 18.
