They are fragments of DNA extracted from salmon, sterilised, highly purified and injected into the skin.
Plenhyage XL polynucleotides have been used in Italy for 5 years and have an excellent safety record.
They work at the cellular level to stimulate production of collagen and elastin as well as encourage repair of damage from the sun, acne, rosacea and reduce inflammation.

Before You Book
Downtime, Aftercare & Risks
All treatments carry some risk. Dr Hana will explain what is right for you, and you will be given written aftercare after your treatment.
01 · Downtime
What Is Normal?
- Most people go back to work the same day.
- Small bumps and redness at the injection points are normal and usually settle within 1 to 2 days.
- Some tenderness, swelling and bruising can happen, especially under the eye.
02 · Aftercare
What Should I Avoid?
- Please do not massage or press the treated area.
- Leave make-up off for about 12 hours.
- Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, hot baths and alcohol for about 24 hours.
- Results build gradually, so your next session is booked as part of your plan.
03 · Risks
Side Effects & Risks
- Common: small bumps, redness, swelling, tenderness and bruising at the injection points.
- Less common: infection or an allergic reaction. Polynucleotides come from salmon, so they are not suitable if you are allergic to fish.

Who Are Polynucleotides Not Suitable For?
Treatment is not suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you have an infection or a cold sore in the area to be treated, or if you are allergic to any of the ingredients, including fish (polynucleotides come from salmon). Dr Hana will go through your medical history at your consultation and will only treat you if it is right for you. We do not treat anyone under 18.
